Visceral Podcast began with a major realization. Young women need visible role models in science and technology, especially across the African Continent. The truth is, there are few accessible media platforms to promote African women in STEM.  Our goal is to promote strong examples of women in STEM and inspire young African women to pursue lifelong career goals in the STEM disciplines.

Visceral Podcast is a monthly podcast. We interview Africa’s most prominent women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. These women are incredible examples of how inclusivity and diversity are critical to solving the world’s most serious problems. Our guests are engaging, intelligent and inspiring examples of African excellence in STEM.

Michelle Roseborough ditched the life of insecurity as a consultant and researcher, in pursuit of a more “fitting” and equally insecure job as a podcast showrunner.

She lives in South Africa and the United States, and spends much of her time consuming endless amounts of social media content and planning for a triathlon, she will most likely never complete (big dreams!).

When she is not fantasizing about the STEM career she should have had, she is busy conducting quirky interviews with Africa’s most intelligent women in STEM.

Follow her on Twitter @visceralpodcast. She is on Instagram @visceral_podcast and promises to get better at posting.
